Presented by: Westlake High School

The purpose of this event is not only to play games, but to raise awareness and

offer help for young female athletes battling mental health.

This event began in November 2012 as the BeYOUtiful Classic with just 8 teams.  Each year brought new growth to our tournament, and in November 2019, we hosted 32 teams in what has become the kick-off event for girls basketball in central Texas.

Message from Eanes ISD Superintendant

Welcome to the BeYOUtiful Basketball Classic where it’s not just about the layups, bounce passes and blocked shots; it's about celebrating the unique attributes of each player. Embrace your individuality, show off your skills and let your true self shine on the court. May this tournament be a reminder that beauty comes in all forms and basketball brings us together, no matter our differences. I hope you play with heart, determination and personal style. Enjoy being yourself in the game of life and being your best in the game of basketball.

TESTIMONIALS

“We here at Summer Creek would love to take the time to thank Coach Benson and the wonderful committee members responsible for putting on such a prestigious tournament. This is one of the premier tournaments in the state of Texas filled with tremendous competition and a first class environment for basketball. What better way to spend a tournament experience while supporting such an amazing cause by raising awareness for mental health. Thank you again for allowing Summer Creek to participate!”

Donny Ott, Head Coach at Summer Creek

"The BeYOUtiful Classic represents so much more than a fantastic early season event for these teams to compete. Coach Benson has built it into a unique opportunity for these student-athletes that empowers the girls with experiences and education. It now draws some of top teams in the state and they all leave enriched both on and off the court."

Shane Laflin, Premier Basketball Report &
McDonalds All American selection committee member

“We have been competing in the Tournament since before it was a girls-only tournament. Coach Benson has worked tirelessly to expand the tournament while using it as a platform to address social challenges of today’s youth. The BeYOUtiful Classic has become a player-favorite for all of Central Texas and has become one of the premiere tournaments in the state!”
